The belt engagement is perfect and smooth with no belt sqeal when stopped in gear. My Teryx came with the .80 mm (Thin shim) and the 1.40 mm (Thick Shim), I purchased the 1.0 mm. My Teryx has over 1500 miles with the original belt, I ride in dunes and alot of mountain riding climbing rocks climbing steep terain and hard on the throttle most often.My 2010 with fuel injection has been giving me problems with strarting when cold.
