Installed a Marble's Tang Site on My 92. by jnewell » 26 May 2013 20. I went back and forth on rear sight options. I thought about a replacement sight mounted in the barrel dovetail, a Williams receiver sight, Steve's bolt-mounted receiver sight and finally landed on the Marble's tang sight.

Following on from me fitting a scope on my win 94 which made the peep sight redundant, I now want to fasten it to the receiver of my rossi 92. The sight shown is a Marbles Standard Peep Tang SIght. Marbles lists the 009807 sight for the "new Rossi 92" but the 009808 sight for the Winchester Model 92/94 works fine. It is a round barrel shaped piece that has a prong to glue or solder into the steel sight blade. That hole to receive the "prong" or stud is probably 1/64" x 1/32" deep.It is a Cylinder and Slide fixed rear sight for a S&W. The partial slot is larger than the C&S sight's front part - so that fits OK. You do need to drill and tap the top strap. No have not weight it yet. My guess is 1/4 to 1/2 oz lighter. Couple minor problems though; you need to have another hole drilled and tapped for the front screw, the factory supplied screw is a oddball metric that nobody has a tap for so I found a 8-32 ...
