Rich Jenkins. Yes, the Sig P365X from Sig with the optic cut already is a direct fit to your P365 (Direct fit = field strip, place barrel and RSA from P365 into P365X slide, reassemble.) Based on the limitations you stated (no milling, no aftermarket parts, retain original) I'm not sure I can think of any other option to get an optic.Technically, you are not decreasing caliber, as both 9mm and .380 use the same diameter bullet. You are decreasing overall cartridge length, which equates to less velocity at the muzzle and less energy, as well as less recoil.
