Terraria murasama.
Night's Edge is a good sword, but the real reason to craft it is that it's used to make a even better sword later in the game (which in turn leads to a third sword which very powerful and only beaten by end game items). Overall Night's Edge is better than the swords that make it. I'd also say it's one of the best pre-hardmode swords.

History. : Murasama. Now has a larger hitbox during its third slash. Decreased swing sound volume. Resprited it and its slash. Nerfed damage from 3001 to 2222, but buffed critical strike chance from 34% to 65%. No longer has a 200% size modifer, but now grants 6 ID-static immunity frames instead of 21.
Hello, i was wondering how to get the sword Muramasa, i have looted all the golden chest in the dungeon and i got 0. I also tried fishing for 1 hour inside the dungeon but i didn't get any crate or muramasa. Those are your only sources unfortunately. If you don't mind, you can bring your char to a different save and loot the dungeon there.
